Mind Mapping is a valuable tool whether it is used collaboratively or independently. For this activity, cadets picked from a list of artifacts recovered from 9/11. They created mind maps to consider questions that might be asked from 5 different perspectives of their choosing. Examples might be a police officer, a child or a historian or poet. Cadets synthesized the concepts of perspective, asking good questions and working together. The conversations I heard among the cadets were very insightful.
